Awww man! I've got a Sunrise in the nest and a Firestorm in the breeding den. Looks like I won't be starting this contest until tomorrow. But, on a happier note, I've at least got a Snowman! Evolving it to level 7 now.

Whoops, on New Dawn Android the Elf in the Market is Green/Yellow, but the quest says breed Yellow & Red! Confusion shall ensue.
