Ok a couple of people are wanting to start this up again. This is what I'm thinking (feel free to let me know what you think):
* Start time about 2pm Monday TL TIME (about 8am Tuesday Queensland time)
* I'll announce the item at the start time
* People who want to enter post their current quantity
* We craft like mad
* Finish will be about 1pm Wednesday TL time
* People post their new quantity of the item
* Winner will be the person with the biggest increase in quantity

Notes: items collected from other sources (eg adventures, sir pig will count). Items used to craft other items in the competition period won't count. Winner gets bragging rights and can choose the next item and time period for another round.

From now until the comp starts I will accept nominations for the item. I am putting a veto items that require fruit, any crafting recipes locked by recent goals. This is so that people aren't excluded.
