I have made it to area 3 of jewel mania but it still shows me at 0% progress toward completing this quest on castle story. Sorry if this question has been asked before but I searched and couldn't find a topic about it.

Are you sure you reacheD area 3 and not level?
Area 3 means the third island

Yes, made it to the third island. The one with the first puzzle that has dirt or whatever. I believe it is level 13.
It's been awhile but with some of these games the first training island is like area 0. You may have to get to the fourth island which would be area 3.
I just recently completed this (yesterday or the day before). Right after you finish, you don't get anything. But the goal disappears, cause it's finished, and a new goal pops up from the Baron (can't recall the name of it) and all you have to do is collect from one money building. I got 30 gems after doing so. The next goal is called Coast Is Clear, you have to reach area 6 in Jewel Mania. I am on Area 4 right now and am going to try
