Is level 58 winnable without buying gold?

Tried so many times and I can never get past row 14 no matter how many jewels I make or how fast I play. Is it possible to get through without using gold to get extra time?

I somehow got thru this whole game without buying any gems, so yes! You can do it!!

I have only one star on that one and can't get two. Well, I can't repeat even one star yet.

I've been stuck on 58 for a long time too, but it could partly be because I'm not trying as hard anymore since I'm already at the 10th island.
