Sometimes I get glimmer trolls from rock outcroppings.

I get one at least every 3 times I collect from one of those big rock pile outcroppings. I mean all the time.
Wow, I get one every 10 times if I'm lucky O.o
It works really well if I tap it like 5-6 times in a row.
How many do I need to beat up to get his pants?
Or as always, it's like a random?
It's a random drop from what I've seen.
