Knowledge Shard?

I don't recall seeing it drop, but I seem to have a knowledge shard in my inventory...from what I've read, there hold be a quest associated with this?

Do I need to be at a certain point in all other quests before it appears, or need to do something to trigger it?

No the act of collecting the shard triggers the quest. If you have a quest that starts with Tabernum Research that's the goal. If you don't have that goal but get 2 water very time you collect from wells/ponds you've already done it.

If you don't have a quest check your magic forge to see if you can craft other items.

Still can't accept it. Why didn't everyone get this shard? Why didn't everyone get the same goals?

You just get shards sometimes ! Took me about a month to collect 4.

You just get lucky, people take month to get 1 shard

I had finished tabernum months ago and no shard at all. I had version 1.1.2, I even moved the tabernum to its original position but still nothing. zip. Zero. Well, I think I really have to accept the fact, and move on ....
