Anyone bought a diamond with GOLD

So I'm interested to know, anyone got fed up and bought a diamond or any other ultra rare with gold. To buy one would cost a lot of money but I'm interested to know if anyone has done this. I personally don't think I could justify spending that amount of money but am wondering if anyone else has.

i know of 2 people who have bought infinities but not First Gen diamond

I bought my first diamond,my son and I shared an island,he asked for it(NEVER asks for anything)after his tonsil surgery,I still felt horrible after seeing him look like a bloody zombie in recovery,so I caved.

I'm busy collecting gold for it, I only started like a week or a week and a half ago and I have 147 gold....I just can't accept that I'm Level 50 with no diamond, and have been trying for it most of the game.,,,
