Magic garden help required

Please help as I'm going out of my mind here. I know there are a couple of other topics regarding this but I felt I needed to address my specific issue.

Whilst building Ivy's house I expanded to the magic garden. I moved the garden and tried to rotate it a couple of times (a waste since it doesn't actually turn).

Ivy's house is built and collected from but no follow up quests to activate the garden (remains shaded) people keep mentioning about force close the game after rotating the garden .......... No idea how to force close.

Please help

Rotate the garden, click done. Force Close, restart.

Repeat this until returning to the game shows the question mark over the garden.

Force close means fully closing the game and not leaving it running in the background. If you don't know how to do that on your device, restart your device.
