Does it matter about the name to get a diamond dragon?

I am just wondering because some people say that the names matter and that could be the reason I never get a diamond.

Yes some people says but I don think so...unless I see it on my own eyes.i keep wondering how people got a diamond by breeding??

I don't think the name matters ... I tested the theory for a month and when I gave up and put in a random combination (wizard and parakeet)neither one with a lucky name I got a diamond !

no doesn't matter. breeding is completely random.

No it doesn't. Some players believe it does but I do think, that TL decided to finally stop such speculations allowing players to rename their dragons.
Personally I'm sure it doesn't. I've tried many combos for the DD and finally started to breed Eagle and Island and was successful on my 9th try with this combo.
