Most of my room disappeared to storage!

Playing on ipad 1 v5.1.1. I set up my kitchen from new and stored items (most items were originally bought and put in storage while the room was being built). I had left and resumed a few times then on the last play, most of my kitchen had disappeared. I think one counter and a barstool was left. I found the missing items in storage and set it up again. Hopefully they wont disappear again!
