Which buildings give you energy?

Which buildings or community items are the best to collect energy? And have you found out the logic when for example Wind Farm gives energy? Every other time you collect money out of it? Or Solar Farm? I'm not sure has it ever given any energy at all... I really wish there would be efficient ways to have more energy other than waiting... and waiting... and waiting...

Hello.
I have the same problem, may be the game is bad designed, if the only way to collect energy is just waiting and receiving 1 per minute, playing is a pain....and you loose most of the enthusiasm of the game on waiting.
If anyone have a trick, please advice

The trick is not waiting but doing something else and playing later.

All community buildings give energy. The best ones are the opera house and the windmills.
All community buildings have the same chance of giving +2 (and taking up 1) energy, around 20%-30%.
There is no logic, like the solar panels giving energy at daytime, it;s just luck.
