Not Able to Get Eggs...

I am using the iTouch, Monster Story version 1.0.1
From the goals I went to skip the ?hatch a Shell Lizard? for 25 gold and I never got the egg in the nest. I made sure I was not breeding, there was nothing in the nest and I was not evolving anything at the time.
I forced closed everything and uninstalled and reinstalled, still no shell lizard egg but the gold was still deducted.
Am I doing something wrong because I play Dragon Story and its happened there also?

Please help
Is anyone else having these issues?

If you skip a goal, it only skips, it does not give you the item. If you would have purchased the shell instead of skipping the goal, you would have the egg.
