Issues with Game

I am fairly certain I am not the only one experiencing problems. I recently put in a new device that required materials from neighbors. I completed the item only to have the game reset. No biggie I figured but I ended up finding out my materials supply got shorted by the amount of the unit. 10 less springs and 10 less panels. WTF??? I lose out on the materials but don't get the unit?

That's happen to me before but it would be one part missing. That has to be so upsetting, have you tried closing the game down completely and reopening it?
