    What are the gems for in Bubblemania?

    I don't understand what the gems are for. I have tried to get past the 3rd island but am stuck on level 17 and 18. Even tho I save the babies I lose energy in my effort to get 3 stars. It's very frustrating to win 5 times but lose and energy point each time I try.

    I am so frustrated with the way TL manages their games I should just shut my mouth and uninstall all their games.

    Gems can buy bonuses (beginning with the 4th island, I believe, a bonus cost gems). And to buy more bubbles if you run out.
