Can't go home from Friends place

When I visit others many a time the icons in the lower right corner are as if I am in their game and I don't have the option to go home. Clicking on Edit and Done sometimes gets me my icons and I can tap on Home; lots of friggin around and very frustrating. Is anyone else having this issue?

Is just your home button missing, or are you also missing the wall and social button?


This may help- when you first come back to the game after being away, if your message screen pops up first, do not visit anyone from there, exit that screen and make sure any pop ups come up to ensure you have synced with the servers. Then you go back to your message screen.
