Can't load islands

At least I think that's what it is. I played the game fine earlier, closed it down and now when I open it, all I see is a blue ocean with a few seagulls sitting on a couple rocks and an octopus. I can't zoom in, zoom out or move around. I can't click on anything (like the rocks with the seagulls or the octopus). Nothing happens. So how am I supposed to play this? What am I missing?

Try deleting the app then re downloading it from the app store. Also restart your device after you have done this.
