Does the elevator room have any other function aside of being a decor? I mean, for example, can the animals use it to move up and down the hotel floors?

This was very deceiving. Cost me 40 Gems. I bought after reading the information tag. " Moving on up, pick any floor, we promise you'll love it". That made me think if an animal entered, they would appear on another floor.

There is no second type of stairs. However, if you stack two, the lower one will get extra stairs to connect to the top one.
