In the summer here, the road crews start at 6AM then get off work at 3 PM.

Wow. Here they work as long as it's summer. That's like 3 months. They work on the busy roads during the night. There's a running joke: calgary has 2 seasons, winter and construction.

We'll..they do do work on major roads (like the Squirrel Hill tunnels) at night.

It finally rained today! And here they work construction any time the particular city allows mostly 10or 12 hours sometimes more. Operators start at 6 to get the machines ready and laborers start at 7 usually.

Since there was 1 inch in the rain gauge this morning, I'm not complaining about the humidity and heat today.
