Unfortunately, TeamLava need money to keep the games running.

If they're not getting money, there's no game server, so no game. It's just how it's got to be.

They occasionally have 40% off sales (and regularly 20 and 30 % off), so that's a reduction.

When was the last time of 40% off sale that anyone knows of? Most I've seen is 20% off. 30% off is just as rare.

Well, with the current gems prices, people aren't even gonna buy them. This will cause Team Lava to lose money.
However, if the gem prices were a little bit cheaper, like 50% off, people will continue to buy gems and Team Lava won't go bankrupt.

The second and last 40% off was on Black Friday last year. The first one was late spring or early summer last year.

I find the prices extremely high compared to other similar games.
