Question about coins, treats, and permits

I have been playing this game for a ver LONG time. And while I enjoy people writing to me on my wall requesting specific materials, I am always amazed at how many of them request coins, treats, permits, and volunteers, etc. on my game, I am unable to gift these items unless someone sends me a material request for them...is this not the case for everyone? Are there some players who have these items listed on their gift lists? Some of the people who ask on my walls are on pretty high levels, so I am always surprised that they don't already know they can't receive these items in the same way they receive other materials. Am I missing something??

I've been playing this game for a grand total of about a week. You aren't missing anything here. Those items are material requests only, they aren't giftable.
