Human blood is pale red/colorless and insect blood is blue. Human blood has never been blue only colorless.
As a phlebotamist I can confirm this is not correct.
Unoxygenated human blood is purply, once oxygenized its bright red. It's never pale red or colorless. White blood cells or blood serum is colorless once separated from the red blood cells in a centrifuge.
