Candy cane maker

I purchased and built a candy cane maker only to find out that you have to complete quests in order to use it. As an Android user these quests aren't available to me. So tell me please what am I supposed to with my worthless candy cane maker now? Will I ever be able to use it?

I am an adroid user also and just built the candy cane machine only to find no food to make.
It is my reason for visiting the forum today; to see if anyone else had
the same problem...
