And yes my general settings allow online purchases. This just started yesterday. No errors or anything, it just never even gets to the point where I can enter my password.

Sorry, I'm not sure which device your playing on, if you feel it could be a device related issue email Apple or whoever is your provider for the app store/market.
Sorry missed initial thread about the problem- I logged out of the app store & then back in & problem is solved.
