Out of Sync generates missing baby

I breeded a Flying Monkey baby this morning. I repeated got the out of sync message, and each time replaced the baby. On the sixth or so time, it seemed to take, so I started breeding a camel.

When the camel was done, I was going to do the second Flying Monkey baby only to find that I am missing the baby I breeded.

Is there a way to get back the missing baby?
