Naughty on Ice - time vs xp?

Am I reading this correctly? The new 12 hour recipe is 26XP - around the same as other 1 hour ones?

Wow that is low XP for a 12 hr drink. It reads as 26 on mine too.

Its odd. Last week they released a 1 hr drink in BS for 84 XP which is extremly high. They're adding more variation in times now I guess.

I'll speak to the team about the fluctuations in cooking stats, but my guess is that was designed that way to make some mastery levels harder to reach than others.

The XPs help you level up, they don't apply to mastery levels. The amount of time it takes for an item to become ready affects how long it takes to master.

If the recipe provides a low rate for Coins or XP, then the recipe is less desirable. The low desirability to cook these recipes makes it harder to reach the mastery levels since the benefits from the recipe are lower than the other recipes that are available.

Can I please point out that they are different things and only very slightly correlated (if that's the right word...): if you are going for coins/xp, then yes, it is less desirable, but if you care about Mastery (which is the only situation where this might come in), then you make it whatever.
