    Lightbulb Thanksgiving Facts!

    Hey all.

I know that Thanksgiving is coming up in the USA very soon, and Canada after it (I'm I'm the UK for anyone who doesn't know), but I really don't know much about it.

    Time to harness Forum Diversiry...
So, can everyone please help get me some great facts about Thanksgiving? Thank you very much!

It is the Official day to Stuff oneself with turkey, stuffing, yams, pumpkin pie, and then lie around afterward and sincerely wish you hadn't eaten so much.

Thanksgiving in Canada is in October before the US.

Thanksgiving in the US is the 4th Thursday in November.

The day after Thanksgiving in the US is Black Friday. That's when the stores have big sales.

And the first thanksgiving had no turkey....more like eel....pheasant.....and so forth....and moreover to share the fruits of their year long labor in the new wilderness...a passage of knowledge and survival amongst one another

I'd like to hear more about the Canadian Thanksgiving. I don't know that much about it other than they also eat turkey and the first people to celebrate most likely did not sail on the Mayflower. Anyone?
