Thanksgiving dinner report: loser brother in law didn't come because he's a chicken.
But my 2 sisters got into quite the argument so there was still some entertainment.
The Turkey was delicious. Nom Nom Nom
Shoot, I forgot to ask you pinkster - do you make stuffing (dressing) in the turkey? I have a wonderful recipe for that I coulda (shoulda woulda) shared

Yum! I love turkey! I make a lovely stuffing with cubes of stale bread, onions, apples and herbs. ( mouth waters) I have to wait till Xmas though, no thanksgiving here!
Btw why does Canada celebrate thanksgiving at a different time to Americans? Does it have the same meaning?
I make nothing for the dinner. I do all the dishes.
Tempete: I am the oldest of 3 girls, and my mom is the oldest of 3 girls. My sister has 2 daughters. On my ex husbands side, out of 7 grandkids 6 are girls. I have a boy and a girl. When I had my son I was "a boy?!? What do I do with a boy?!?"
I love thanksgiving. Just finished watching autocorrect videos. They are funny.
To be honest, I didn't.
But that is what Google is for nowadays....

...so you see, it's only been celebrated in October officially since 1957.
As I mentioned somewhere else, American Thanksgiving dates to the Civil War.
