We need a place to keep our cooked food stored for good until we can or need to use it. Maybe a refrigerator or chest. And not for gems either.

They already have items like that, the two main items are the Forever and Sonic stoves, grills and ovens
Sonic increases time by 20% and the Forever keeps foods from spoiling.
They both cost 42 Gems each, and wouldn't be much of a use if they added free non gem refrigerators like what you have suggested.
