Your blog reminded me of a dog I saw at the dog park this past weekend. "Thickest" dog I'd ever been that close to, 3 years old, 140 lbs, tail felt like a baseball bat hitting your thigh. The owner knew it was half rottweiler, but didn't know the other half.
Has a great owner, very calm, loves people, does all the tricks, shake, hug, etc. Quail hunts, even heard a story about it chasing off a black bear on a hike in the nearby mountains, pretty cool. It was darker brown or black with the dark oranges ******s, very unique looking.
Anyway.. I now know that the dog's mother was definitely an English Mastiff. Thanks for the blog, Saint.
