I purchased gems 12 hours ago for the free gift "Cabana Lounge". However, the lounge cannot be placed into my restaurant. It does appear under the "Design" menu, but after I choose the lounge and followed the instrustion "Tap on an empty space to place this item", nothing happened! It was still kept in the storage (hopefully)!
I tried to restart the device, or even delete and reinstall the game, but it does not help!
I've already email to their support team, but receiving an automatic reply asking me to post the problem in the forum. So is it proper that I post this kind of question here?
make sure you have enough room! It's a BIG item!
Yes, I free an empty space of 5 x 4 unit squares to place it, but it still did not appear. Can anyone tell me how "BIG" is it?
Looking at a picture on another thread - it looks like at least 6x6. But try clearing out extra room (like 10x10), then you can always place items around it.

Which item did it say you should have received? It could be a wall decoration as well. If you still can't find it, you will need to email support@teamlava.com Give them your ID and a description of what happened.
