farm story outside the iphone

Is there another way to play this game than the iphone app?

I got the doubt because when I use the app I receive seldom messages from other users with emoticons and/or litlle images in it, with the iphone I cannot type this kind of messages.

What app is the best to use for the emoji icons with iPad? I tried to use the free version that added the Japanese keyboard but it didn't work. Thanks for your time.
