Lightbulb TeamLava Cookbook: Bakery Story

Like last week's event, I'd like to start a new cookbook: this time, for Bakery Story! Nothing but desserts, pastries, sweets, etc.!

Look over the recipes for Bakery Story, and share with us one of your own favorite recipes from that same food. Or, just a Menu item from your favorite bakery or sweetshop. And if your favorite sweet isn't in Bakery Story, give us a recipe for a new idea! (I hear pavlova is popular... ).

At the end of the week, I'll randomly assign 20 Gems to one of the users who helps develop our TeamLava Cookbook!

Sometimes, pumpkin pie can be a bit too heavy, especially when served alongside other autumn treats such as pecan pie. I suggest PUMPKIN CHIFFON PIE. It's light, easy to make and absolutely mouth-watering.
*First, combine the following seven ingredients in a saucepan. I like to grind my own spices.
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

*Then, stir in:
3/4 cup of milk
2 slightly beaten egg yolks
1 cup of canned pumpkin. (or fresh!)

*Cook over medium heat and stir until the mixture boils. Make sure the gelatin is completely dissolved.
*Beat 2 egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add 1/4 cup of sugar and continue beating until firm peaks form. Fold the egg whites and sugar into the pumpkin mixture along with a 1/2 cup of whipping cream (whip it!).
*Pile into crust and chill for a few hours. No topping necessary! Delicious!

My favorite cookie comes from Firehook bakery. It sounds strange, but it really is delicious.

"The presidential sweet cookie is made with chocolate chips, coconut, sun-dried cherries, rolled oats, espresso powder, pecan pieces, and vanilla."

While this cookie is probably a little too complex for bakery story, I hope to see some more kinds of cookies in future updates. Oatmeal, peanut butter, shortbread, all good choices
