Lately I haven't got my updates when I update them it takes a day anyone no why? and another all my friends are saying I can't build there easy appliances any ideas?

Make sure that you are on the latest version of the game.
Try restarting your device
Uninstall and reinstall the app
Make sure you're NOT on the VALENTINE'S Version! The updates aren't going on that version. Download the main version instead.
The updates are being rolled out slowly; wait a few days.

We can't buy the materials except for using gems to complete them and also asking neighbors for the materials. Mostly your friend should be able to tap on the box and tap again to manage and it will show what is still needed.
