I downloaded regular restaurant story (as opposed to valentine's day) and the updates were there. But when i switched back to the valentine's day version of rs i cdnt see the easy appliances i bought, but at he same time, while in the vday version i cdnt place anything over the squares on which the easy appliances had been placed while in regular rs. So if you are using the v-day version of rs try switching to the regular version and see if that helps.
