GOAL: Marigold Muerte - 2024 Oct. 29 (14 Days)

I just wanted to take a moment to give flowers to the designer of this one!

Every item makes sense within the context of the theme and the items work as a set while also having possible uses outside of the set. I think my favorite unlocked item is the counter. Most counters are the standard square recolored to fit the goal so the shape of this one already made it stand out but the print is what made it really wow me.

Great recipes but once again, the trays take away from most of the presentations

Specifically, the drink recipes had so much potential but the colors of the serving trays brought most of them down for me. The Cempasuchii Atole is, unsurprisingly, my favorite recipe of the set - it's top notch! After that recipe, I was really hoping all the drinks would have the same trays. Not only was the latte color of that tray great but the swirly design on top added visual interest without taking away from the recipe itself. It would've been awesome to see that carry through to the other recipes.

All in, I'd say this was a great start for the month and really has me looking forward to the upcoming Autumn/Winter goals

Serious question, since you like the cempasuchii atole so much. What's the orange thing sticking up from the drink?
I can see the yellow blob is supposed to be a flower, but what is the orange shrek ear looking thing?
If it's a spoon or cinnamon stick, then why is it floating in the middle of the cup?
I really tried liking this one, as you already pointed out the colour scheme is beautiful, but it's just so messy looking. All of the recipes from this 14day goal have room for improvement, and that's beyond the coloured trays. When I struggle to see details, even when zoomed in, it's just a poor design for me.
Exception is the Loretta cake, that one is really pretty.
All 5day goal recipes have also been really really nice this goal period.

Is it an orange peel in the marigold muerte drink as well?
I was guessing an orange paprika slice, but orange peel definitely seems nicer, and makes more sense..

I think perhaps the drink names got mixed up. The Marigold Muerte (2nd drink) is the one that has a twisted orange peel as garnish. The Cempasuchil Atole however, has a cinnamon stick - the most common garnish for it from what I can tell.

Looking at the counter image, I think the cinnamon sticks are leaning over and just resting on the edge of the mug. It's difficult to see because the color of the stick closely matches that of the inner ceramic on the mug.

If you're unfamiliar with it, Atole is a thicker drink than something like tea or water due to the ingredient corn masa/flour/starch (some newer recipes use wheat/rice instead of corn) which thickens the drink. It's not as thick as porridge or anything but when I've had atole it was a bit thicker than a very rich hot chocolate; one mug of it really warms me up and keeps me full for hours!

I read somewhere to allow at least 4 days to complete that last goal... I missed the last one, but this one I made sure to spam the recipes early on to trade in the skulls for parts.
