Axe for Long-Awaited present is null

I got a Long-Awaited Present because I thought it would be fun; presents are always fun. The axe says it can be crafted in "null". I've looked and it don't see how to craft one. Hmmm. There was no warning that I'd have to spend more gems to open it.
I Googled and I see it is an older buy and I've reopened my game, but crafting is still is not appearing. My iOS is an iPad Pro.
