Looks like the chocolate shavings and green apples are new permanent ingredients, so I thought I would make a thread for discussion.

If they are permanent ingredients, why are the Green Apples not in the Fruit Market? Special event items do normally go in the General Store, but it's going to get crowded if everything new goes there. The chocolate shavings do make perfect sense in the General Store though.

Yeah I agree with this. I think it’s intended though.

Well turns out they are limited time ingredients but no timer warning prior to disappearing. I'm glad I expected this and just kept buying green apples so I have a stockpile of cheaper priced ones running in the thousands. At least they are still selling them in the market place so the gem recipe isn't totally useless at some point. I commend S8 on exploring options to make gem recipes usable on older event appliances that would otherwise gather dust, however the caveat is that they don't want you to increase your gem production capacity indefinitely or too easily.

One complaint is that chocolate shavings is utterly useless now, but it still shows up frequently in the marketplace. This is taking space from otherwise useful ingredients and potentially making the marketplace less useful. Not sure if this is intended, but could the chocolate shavings be removed from the market place?
