Game will not load

Very disappointing that this issue has occurred for so long.
Does this pertain for those players who are at higher levels?
Even when I do get in the game it's constantly refreshing and sending me backwards a few steps.
For those having this issue it would be nice to know what level your on.

I know how you feel.

Today is September 6...I was knocked off on August 9.
I got on for about 15 minutes on August 15th.. don't know what took place that day but have never been able to connect since.
I no longer even receive notifications but the music for Farm keeps playing like I am sitting on a server somewhere connected to a game that says no connection but game thinks I am connected. What a sad sad joke.
I have deleted and reinstalled so many times... no help
I have tried connecting all different hours.
I have hit retry for over five hours a day... pretty desperate.
I play on my other iPad and have this one on my lap continuously hitting retry.
I don't know how to get a connection.
I put up my first event in 2014 and have done most of them since.
Has been an honour to be able to do that for Storm8.

I am at a loss for words... many tears.

August 7th was the last time booted and could not load game until September 6. I decided to stick it out with my ?try again? pushes?it worked. It was the evening. Been playing the rest of this weekend but heading to work soon and I always get booted from work. But it was a great weekend 😀

Today is one month with no connection. I play a low level farm but really hurts.

For a few months I was able to get in by changing my ip address. I thought it was strange that one ip address would never get thru but then I switch it to a different ip address and had no problem getting in. I guessed maybe they ban certain ip address that use too much space? Now I can?t get in with a new ip address, maybe they ban by farm name now. This is just a theory since it make no sense why some farms can get in and others can?t, only reason I know that would happen is by being banned. I looked in the shop and it says this game can not update unless it provides its privacy policy which they haven?t done in years. For some reason they can?t even update the privacy policy? Strange.

That's an interesting theory. This whole thing is extremely odd. But either way it doesn't seem like there's much impetus or urgency to fix the issue. As the days go by, I have more issues logging on. Way more than before.

We do have anecdotal evidence that new farms or smaller farms are able to connect. This always leads me back to database issues and cloud space, which entails spending more money. If this game itself within Storm 8 doesn't generate enough income to support spending money on game maintenance and space, then it just won't get the support needed for the space-hogging longtime player farms and thus we can't connect. The packets from our farms get sent out back to the game servers and if it's too much data, then our log-in times out and so we can't connect. The small or new farms have smaller data packets being sent so that's why they connect much easier.

Unfortunately I think we're in a potential downward spiral as more of us long-time players who spend money with the game are unable to connect. As a result, there's obviously a likelihood that we will thus spend less money. The less we play, the less we spend. As more of us play less and spend less, less income is generated for the game and the eventual drop in support and updates for the game occur. I always have maintained that S8 should offer a subscription business model along with in-game purchases to help create another income stream for the business that might help offset some of their costs. It will be interesting to see how this plays out but I'm not super optimistic. Many of the events this year have been recycled prizes and/or storylines from past years.

I am now playing a low level farm and great news I always connect.

Unable to connect to my high level farm since August 9
Once aug 15 for 15 minutes and something weird happened and threw off and no connection.

I'm high level on both Farm and Castle Story. Playing both games for years. Castle Story never has this problem except for the occasional roll-back. This is not a device issue. It is a database capacity issue.

The team is currently working on fixing the issue. They have no timeline of when it will be done.
