A not so funny thing happened on the way to the battle arena

Does anyone have an idea about how this could possibly have happened:

I went into the battle arena expecting to fight round 28. But lo and behold I am facing Redleaf from round 24!!

How can a resync take me back 4 rounds and hours of play? Nothing else seems amiss. Luckily I won and wait yet another hour to see what round it will be.

You see, this is second time such a thing has happened. Well, next battle the game rights itself sorta, kinda and I get round 28. Sigh. So i lost time on just 1 re battle, not having to do 25,26,27 also.

But what is going on with the game? Any thoughts? S8 please fix this or at least explain how it happened.

Used to happen often, but never lost 4 battles usually one or two. Still miss food, evolutions, etc due to resets. Just another feature to make the game more challenging. 😂
