Leaderboard events are no longer worth participating in because of players that Storm8 and TeamLava allow to flat out *****.

What do I mean by *****? I?m talking about players who suddenly acquire over 10,000 points in the first few hours of the challenge. Honest players know that earning 10,000+ points in the first few hours of the event are virtually impossible without *****ing. But with each passing leaderboard event, it seems that Storm8 and TeamLava welcome and condone *****ing because it continues to happen. And those of us who honestly earn our points are sick and tired of encountering players who ?miraculously? increase their points to 10,000+ in the first few hours.

You can only send so many deliveries and collect so many points from activities on one?s farm. Enough of the unfair competition!

Oh, I do have screenshots of two such players in my group. But I won?t share them until someone from Storm8 or TeamLava requests them.

* = the word that signifies playing unfairly. The word begins with C, next letter is H, next letter is E, next letter is A, ends with the letter T. It seems that here on the forums I can?t even use that word without my post being altered to prevent the word from appearing. Instead, the forums changes it to *****. Unbelievable.

Leaderboard Boost Item

Ok you asked how does a person get 10,000 points very quickly...
They are willing to spend a lot of gems very quickly.
I call them the Yellow Boosters Club.
They buy a yellow booster for 30 gems, usually every time they sign on to collect points.
Yellow Boost gets you 72 points for collecting pigs instead of 36.
Planes gets you 12 points instead of 6.
But this is how they get the ten thousand points...
Every LB, there's a 15 point Boost Item for sale.
You can buy as many of them as you want.
This time it is an Ice Skate Statue.

Go to the person's farm that just accumulated all these points very quickly and you will find this item.

I decided to give this a try once to get the pet at the end of the milestones as I had run out of time.

First, I clicked the 15pointer Boost item, then the speed up button popped up. I clicked away 4 gems, then I swiped bucket over the 15 pointer and I got 15 LB points!

I also used the yellow booster for 30 gems because I would use less gems for the amount of points I needed.
(breakdown provided below).
To get 1500 points:

1500 LB points (no boost)
100 speed up x 4 is ... 400 gems

1500 LB points (7 gem boost)
67 speed up x 4 is 268 gems plus 7 gem boost is ... 275 gems

1500 LB points (30 gem boost, double points)
50 speed up x 4 is 200 gems plus 30 gem boost is ... 230 gems

It took me less than 2 minutes to speed up 50x and get the milestone pet.

I did this in the last five minutes of the Leaderboard just to get the milestone pet.

Ok but now you have the group that wants the main prize that only two players win in any Leaderboard.
They are willing to buy and spend a massive amount of gems to obtain the prize and the gold trophy.

These players usually use it from the start, a declaration so to speak, some use it at the last minute, erasing the countless hours of hard work put in by fellow farmers.

That's basically how it is done.

Anyone that is willing to spend gems can get a massive amount of points very quickly.

Thank you for the wonderful info, Judy. It’s very helpful to all.

I have used the 30-gem boost countless times, which makes racking up points that much easier.

Yesterday at 6:58pm PST I was in 2nd place with 207 points and someone had surpassed me to lead the pack with 5,349 points using the boost. Just 2 hours later, that person had 10,659 points and was now in 2nd place. In first place was someone who came out of nowhere who was using the same boost and racked up 12,131 points. I’m trying to understand how they accumulated that many points in such a short amount of time of 2 hours. Oh well. ?est la vie.

Would it be possible for players who garner astronomically high points be grouped with similarly competitive players instead of pitting them against those of us who have no chance of ever racking up those kind of points even while using gems? Many of us would like to have a chance to win the top two prizes. Just a suggestion.

I agree ... I too wish that players that accumulate over ten thousand points in the first few hours were all placed in the same group.... somehow...

But they keep the game free is how I try to look at it....
They buy a massive amounts of gems which is very good.
I really wanted the Santa Claus in the last Leaderboard but I had three boosters fighting for the top two spots. One bought six of the Boost item and then won one as a prize... a total of seven booster items.

I am glad when they declare in the beginning that they are going after a massive amount of points because then I just concentrate on getting the Milestone Prizes. I have been knocked off at the end by a sleeper that surfaces in last half hour and wins.

Thing is there are some players that only play the game for Leaderboard events. They love the challenge and displaying their trophies.

Hey Storm8 how about creating a game called Stormie Leaderboard events....
