Old Event Memories

Harvesting all the corn in this current event is bringing me back to the very early years of Castle Story. Does anyone else remember the event (I think it was around the US Thanksgiving time) where a person (or people) who planted and harvested the most wheat in a certain time period received a huge amount of gems as a reward? There was no way I was going to win, and even trying was extremely boring, but I did dream about what I could do with all those gems. ; )

Back in the early years there were very few events and you never knew when they were going to appear. Does anyone remember the one or two events that started when you spawned and defeated a beast? You had no idea the event had started until you happened to have to fight a beast (or checked the forum when someone posted about it). Funny...

Yes, I remember those! Do you remember the dragon one where we had to collect eggs and grow dragons? I remember that one as especially hard. I wonder how those old events would feel now that we have one every or every other week.

Not that one, the prizes were the bijou, flare and matrix dragons. It was pretty far back...

That was a good event and super hard! It was basically the first time mithril was needed and at the time there was only 1 source (maybe 2 but not at all like today!) for it and not many players had mithril in storage. The game mechanics and drops have been substantially improved over time.

Yes but now it's even harder to earn gems by completing events! If ever.

Yes, it's really like a totally different game now, in so many ways! I would love to play that event again and see how different it is now than what I remember. I'm guessing it would be a lot easier...

I remember events where I needed 14 Conservatories and 20 Cottages and Watchtowers to even hope to complete them. Those were the days!
