Can someone please check my math? I have it will take me 20+ days to get enough Sparks of Life.

Total = 441 Sparks of Life
1st 21 (Levels 2 and 3 with 2 towers) = Day 2
Remaining 420 (3 towers) = 140 collections
About 6 collections per day = 23 1/3 days

OR

2hrs between collection = 280 hours for remaining 420 Sparks of Life and only less than 12 days left.
24 hours in a day ? 280 hours = 11 2/3 days
You would need 12 collections a day, so every 2 hours.

What I am seeing is that if you want to finish this and/or get the Sanguine Queen, your only choice is to buy extra Towers at 35 gems. I am really hoping I am wrong.

If this is like the previous event, once we get the Fortified Laboratory to Level 4 it will start occasionally dropping the items to build more Lightning Towers which means we can collect more Sparks of Light every 2 hours.

Confirmed that upgraded Fortified Laboratory sometimes drops metal rods to build additional Lightning Towers. Definitely changes the math and reduces the number of collections needed.

I sold two normal cottages and it hasn't let me buy the new cottage.
What do I need to do to buy the new cottage.

I would buy the extra lightning towers, but right now I can't make the cottage. So not happy.

I have sold 5 cottages and 4 farmhouses, and it's still not available.
Incidentally it won't now let me buy a farmhouse either, even though I just sold four. ??

You need to identify how many of each you have (in storage + in your kingdom total) and add them up. The Town building limit is 50.
If your total is for example 51, then you need to sell 2 in order to be able to buy a new one.

This is ridiculous.

I was just doing the math too - and you’re correct! - it doesn’t add up!

I’m considering getting 2 extra from the marketplace.
That would give me 5 Lightning Towers - making it only 88 collections.
Seems a lot less stressful for a mere 70gems… so I’ll probably do it.

Thanks for checking Hagy. I am going back and forth on if I want to finish this event or just roll the dice and see how far I get.
Good news is there might be an opportunity for us to craft additional Lightning Towers, but I am not counting on it.

Finally got the green light on the grim cottage, but need to now wait for the collection item.

I sold 5 farmhouses 5 cottages 4 taverns and 3 market places. Hope we don't need them again in future.

Really don't know why I try so hard, I don't like any of the haunted themes or items at all.

The Lab might also drop items we need too... not enough intel yet to figure it all out, but there has never been an event where we need to lose sleep to finish. It will be interesting to see how many we can end up crafting. Let's see what happens in the next day when we get a better idea of what the Lab drops etc.

Wow this whole event sounds like a mess with having to sell buildings to gathering impossible collections. I just started and maybe I'll just focus on my bigger storylines that seem to never get finished.
