From the posts regarding the new extended feeding times, added to the ones (including my own) of instances of energy not being used when harvesting, I'm wondering if maybe TL are going to implement both of these ... ?
Will we get 'free energy' harvesting, for the price of longer feeds? Hope not ...

Your energy should not be capped at 30, it should still increase as you level up
I am on level 47 and my energy is still capped at 30.
If they have to make us need energy, I would prefer to use energy when I plant the crops, not when I harvest them.
update I am now on level 52 and I am still capped at 30.
