Thread: Castle Story: Doorbuster sales | Limited time offers | Sales information

I couldn?t be more disappointed in the Black Friday ?sale?. I had planned to splurge on all the goodies available. I love a good deal! However, this year was downright insulting. Charging more for gems than any other ?sale? I?ve seen in my 15 years of playing is disingenuous.
Perhaps come through with with a legit cyber Monday sale to save face because as a longtime player this one is 👎

The price of gems has gone up in October already, it's been like this for a while. At least the price in Euros that is, don't know about USD.
And the sale is abysmal. Hoping for something better for Christmas to spend my gems on.

I purchased a second Grimaud a couple of sales ago but golden item drops seem to be even rarer now than when I only had 1. I really don't like the vague details on the back of inventory items. My 2 least favourites, 'pet the item to see what they've got for you' and 'has a chance at'. The first often means the same drops as hundreds of other items, which are easily maxed on and hardly ever used anymore and the 2nd one seems to mean only 1 or 2 drops a year. I know that sounds extreme but that's what it feels like, especially when related to golden item drops. When I have a few of those the Elven trades can ask for as many as 50, those I ignore.

    Soapbox done now!

I agree that the sale was terrible, but that freed my money up to spend on Dragon Story. Unfortunately Fantasy Forest Story didn't get *anything* for Black Friday.

I remember being disappointed last year at Christmas, too, so I don't know what to expect this year.
I've spent thousands of dollars on Storm8 games, but I'm still not valued by the company.

When I still needed expansion supplies I splurged and got 10 gingermen. Never regretted it for a second! They are one of the cheapest ticket and permit droppers and drop very regularly, including spellbound dew. In my opinion the best investment you can do when you are still expanding.

I prefer the Gingerman Stack , they tend to drop multiple tickets! As I am mostly full of trade tickets, I don't tend them because they drop so many. I find it a waste to get 15 coins for such item.

Heh I was just coming here to recommend the Gingerman Stack myself. I get trade tickets occasionally, but I regularly tend it because I was delighted to get lanterns! Or earth wisps, which was all I expected, lol. So anyone considering it, I recommend. I am wondering about the gingerman. I got the stack from the Dec 2018 event, but I didn't have time and supplies to reach the final goal, which was a walker and the gingerman.

Shibuya, I'm curious because they have an identical drop list except a few more coins. Are you certain that the stack is better? I checked the old event thread and only two people reported getting expansion permits, one from the man, one from the stack.

I have only the stacked one out, the other hit the inventory. I don't remember the details, but in general I test out all event droppers, if they have a good return on harvest I keep them on the board.
