Expanding my restaurant

I?m at level 60. I?ve never seen any level higher than that.
According to the guide lines it reaches level 90.
Do I really need 70 neighbors to get there?
Right now when I hit the expanding button it reads you need to get to level 80.

I'm pretty sure that 60 is the feasible limit. if you look at the points/level indicator in the top left, it says you need 999 million points for the next level (aka 61). nobody is going to reach that before they end support for this game. I suspect the game might have been designed to go up to level 80, however when they disbanded the team some of this functionality was either not tested or not ready for release, hence they just tweaked the points required per level to make an insurmountable chasm between level 60 and 61 to create a soft barrier preventing people from reaching the "end" of the game.

This game has been on the same basic cruise event schedule for years now. They used to mix up the type of events and experiment with new formats, so it definitely feels like we are in the twilight era of this game. This forum used to be so much more active too. Until recently one of the mods was creating new threads for each new event, but even that seems to have stopped sometime last year.
