I?m pretty sure SylvanSanctuary already asked this... but
When we collect twice from the Troll camp are we supposed to receive drops on both collections?

I didn?t get anything on my first collection, but it was ticked off in my goals.
Just making sure

It is extremely rare for the Troll Camp drops to be guaranteed. I have only seen it once. I haven't played every event since late 2016, but a lot of them.

I agree. I was just checking bc I only had collected once ,then I had a rollback happen.
I reset my game after that. Checked my inventory, nothing from troll camp.
I was just unlucky. I know those drops will be simi annoying to get anyway.

I'm sorta amped that my weekly's timed where I can jump start this main quest. Usually I plod along at no gem spent speed, but I'm already sitting on 2.5 swords crafted. This actually makes me excited that I can finish the timed element of the quest!

I just tried the Dark Cave Formation and it's awesome. It drops 1 Silver, 1 Jewel or 1 Silver and 1 Jewel per chop.
I have a lot of them in storage (it's a drop from some Adventures)

I'm still working on part three of the Elemental storyline, so I can actually use the drops from toxic spirits. Based on my experience in that quest, to get the timed rewards you only need to start the final craft after the "boss monster" (+99 to defeat). In part one of the elemental story I followed the forum guide's recommendations and didn't collect that final craft so that the storyline wouldn't close and I could continue collecting and crafting story specific elements (in this case the amulets and swords). That enabled me to get the ancient octopus from completing part 2 in less than 30 days and that little fellow is a life changer: from struggling to find mythril, I'm now almost maxed on it. Currently set to finish part 3 of elemental well within the 45 days so I can get the ancient turtle. Sorry for the rant, basically just saying that I'm considering waiting to fully finish part one of the candy storyline so I can get a jump start on part two, keeping the quest open so I can collect and craft ahead of time

It is not guaranteed. I was lucky enough to get one on my second collection. I hope you do too!
Fortunately, you do not need the troll candy to complete the goal. You just need to visit the Troll Camp twice.
