Today I decided that I would send requests only to those that requested from me, as they were obviously playing at reset tonight. I am now up to 19/20. Normally this wouldn?t worry me, as I have lots of regulars I could ask. My problem is that I had a request accepted by someone I asked in chapter 5, but not tonight. So as far as I can see they are my 20 requests accepted for the day, but only 19 in the goal book. So, unless Stormie comes through I will be stuck until tomorrow night. I thought we had got past all the prior requests clogging up the system once we got required number. I have everything made except of course the thrones as I won?t get to them until I get past these requests, so I should still make it, however the last day is going to be much busier than usual.
Also, one last thing, when I got on at reset, I saw a request from a good neighbour of mine, but before I could click accept, it just disappeared, like I had an overload of requests, so I never got to accept hers and she has enough trouble with requests as it is. Has this happened to anyone else? I just stared at it as it sort of dropped off as others came in on top.
EDIT Stormie came through, took a couple of hrs, but I really think that old request counted in my 20 for the day as I know he can be #21. SW do you know about old requests hanging around?

From what I'm experiencing it would seem that some of my neighbors are still answering my previous request. I'm at 14/20 at the moment for Greek Storybooks and when I looked at the Astrology Maps in my inventory, their numbers had gone up by six since before the start of Chapter 9
Yes, I was right, the old one did come through and count as a request. I know this because one I didn?t ask them tonight and two it is the last thing in my inventory as I have been busy and asking for requests is the only thing I?ve done tonight. If it wasn?t an old request the astrology maps would be way back in my inventory. This has always been the problem with the request system in all their games. There seems to be some carry over and there's no way to know who sees what request. If you go around and tell all your neighbours not to accept any of the old requests then they might see the new request come in. They might not. Why S8 cannot fix this remains a mystery. I have been playing their games for years and it has always been a source of frustrated complaints. I quit bakery and restaurant story because of the frustration of requesting parts.
I think reducing the number of requests might help. But it might also be better to either
1. Have one goal requiring requests instead of two and make the request goal appear early on in the chapter book since it can take up to two days to get all the requests come in; or
2. Have two goals requiring requests of the SAME part. That way it doesn't matter whether neighbours see the old request or the new.
I'm still, today getting the old requests coming in. Sometimes I'll visit the neighbour to see if they are past that goal and, if they have, I will reject the request and wait for the new request to come in. But sometimes it might take a day for the new request to show up in my newsfeed. So my poor neighbours might be thinking I don't ever answer requests on time. :-/

Also since players start on different days , I don't know whether to respond to the old one or ignore It. To me the problem could easily be fixed by not having two requests in the goals.
But as been mentioned, S8 doesn't do anything about it. I guess it's easier for them to use same format.
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones; no issues with getting requests. I woke up this morning with 20. The hard part for me is visiting other community members - partly the time it takes, and partly because my game gets annoyed and decides to make me reconnect. Happened four times this morning so it took about an hour to get through the 20 visits. But at least I now have two thrones cooking and enough resources for the third. This storybook actually is less stressful near the end than most, and I love the theme. So I am one of the satisfied players.
Any updates with the Greek Storybook request? I still have 1/20 and i have a lot of active neighbors.. Even Stormie’s Castle has not responded yet.. I forced closed a lot of times now
Been stuck on 19 out of 20 responses for hours now.It’s so frustrating!
