No Portalpillar Gigantus spawns on Android devices

I spent 220 gems to move forward just to find an ungodly amount of the gigantus to be needed. I give up. Why are Android users treated like the unwanted step child? Can't earn gems from watching videos. They blame Google yet I have other games that I have to watch videos on just to continue to play. So that is not the answer on that either

should be resolved now... I've also flagged this post from discussions with the team:

My portal is now spawning gigantus. Thank you S8! However, the ability to make one in the cavus cavern has blackened out and says locked by goal. I was able to make one in one of my other games but that was before the portal fix. Anyone else have the gigantus locked in the cavern?

They aren't a guaranteed drop but they are dropping.
