we aren't on the chapter that needs you to collect from them yet... (if you started on day 1 and haven't gemmed ahead that is). That will be in a few hours when the new chapter 5 begins. The trees don't drop anything till ch5. The saplings do though, but it's not clear where you're up to...Originally Posted by ciaobella64

Also impossible to determine what timers you should gem through and what would be better to wait.
Just unlocking the entire storybook on Day1 would cost you 540gems.

Maybe someone who has finished might share their personal gem/money cost.
I’m stuck on Chapter 4. The Baron’s quest is done and I can’t get any poinsettia drops. Now what? I’m confused.
Everyone's in 'the same boat'. We don't know yet if S8 intended the drops to stop (if the Baron's Side Goal is gone) or if this is a bug.
But everyone with grown Trees has the same problem.
You should have enough Blossom to finish Chapter 4, and start Chapter 5 in a bit more than an hour.
I hope we can gather more Blossom when we get to Goal 4 or 5 in Chapter 5. (and maybe S8 fixes it for us if this was indeed unintended)

I'm curious - where do you get the 540 number from? Isn't it 30 gems to open each chapter prematurely? Or does this increase in later chapters? I was also wondering if it cost more to open a chapter more than one day ahead.
Also, I'm extremely grateful for players like Stymie who gem ahead and are generous enough to share their advance information with us here on the forum!
Unlocking increases each day:
Day2 - 20gems
Day3 - 30gems
Day4 - 40gems
Day5 - 50gems
Day6 - 60gems
Day7 - 70gems
Day8 - 80gems
Day9 - 90gems
Day10 - 100gems
(540gems total)
I'm on Chapter 5, Goal 5.
The Side Goal auto completed, because I apparently had all the resources, but I'm super happy the Poinsettia Trees do still drop the Blossoms + Pollen.
