We need to craft 3 Fire Pandas, which require 1 Repaired Helm, 1 light armor, and 1 Longsword each. Each Repaired Helm takes 2 Damaged Helm, 8 Hammer, and 30 Iron Ore each.
3 Fire Pandas x 8 Hammers per panda = 24 Hammers total for the event.

Does anyone know if the Bamboo Fountain will have drop post-event?

I'm intriguing to buy a 2nd one to speed up the process, but I don't know it's worth it if it'll just turn into a deco after the event.

Don?t know for sure, but if follows normal route of these things, it will probably just be deco.

The Xiang Pu pandas appear to be a guaranteed spawn from the Level 5 Bamboo Grove. They take 12 hits (around 6, really) but the damaged helm drop is not guaranteed. I think I went through about 12 pandas to collect 7 helms.

This event has several bottlenecks (stones, mud, hammers) but we are also only 3 days into a 13-day event so I don?t want to be too panicky.

I have a level 5 Bamboo Grove. I have visited it 10 times in the last 10 hours. It hasn?t spawned a single Xiang Pu Panda

Deadpixel, are you sure there is no other enemy you have to fight already in your game?

I agree with annespeefrickus, have you checked for other monsters in your Realm?
It's a guaranteed spawn..

I'm having trouble sorting out my pacing a bit. I'd thought I was receiving too many helms to repair and was going to slow down on summoning the Xiang Pu pandas, but if the tent is going to be used to craft red pandas I think I need to get my other 3 pandas crafted sooner (keep summoning for their coin). They give 3 coin and a high energy return. This might be a good time for me to use any of the free energy boxes from past events and crank up the greenhouse. I'm also not sure if my 20 pigs will be enough. They did finally leave Neverland. . But we'll see.

Buying the extra bamboo fountain and value pack has lowered my anxiety a bit..

Haha, me too!
You can only craft the Red Panda's when you have all 3 Repaired Helms, and then it takes about a day. Enough time to craft the other Panda's after right?
And in Goal 11 we need to fight a lot of Xiang Pu Panda's for the Leaf Underwear (84) for the Victory Flags (6).
We can only craft Bao, Ping and Kang ones, so it might me not the best use of your energy to craft all 3 before goal 11 and than fight a lot of Xiang Pu Panda's again.
